About Shifnal Golf Club
The members are very proud of Shifnal Golf Course and the high standards our course manager has set for the preparation of the course. Visitors almost unanimously give us high praise for every aspect of their day at Shifnal and we value these wonderful comments highly.

It's fair to say that this stunning course has something to offer for golfers of all levels of ability. Whilst it always helps to be able to hit a golf ball a long way, the course will prove fun if you are not up to the level of a single figure handicap player.

The course measures 6468 yards (par 71) and 5664 yards (par 72) respectively for men and ladies.​​

Social Events
There is much more to Shifnal than the wonderful golf course. Our magnificent clubhouse hosts a number of events throughout the year. From Burns night in January to the Christmas party in December there are plenty of reasons to join in on the social side of the club.

Mens Section
The men's section at Shifnal golf club, is a vibrant part of our club, which offers a space for like-minded individuals who share a passion for golf and the enjoyment of the game.
Whether you strive to win competitions or simply play social golf, the club provides a platform for you to enjoy your game.
Our men’s section provides a lively social atmosphere where friendly banter and a vibrant social atmosphere go hand in hand.

With regular competitions, club matches and social events there is something for everyone.
Ladies Section
Shifnal Golf Club has a thriving ladies section with over 100 members. There are regular club competitions organised by the Ladies Committee and the Competitions Secretary as well as league and friendly matches throughout the year.

Whether you are a seasoned golfer or a novice just beginning your journey, our club offers a welcoming environment where every woman can learn and improve their golfing abilities, enjoy a beautiful location, and make lasting friendships.
Junior Section
At Shifnal Golf Club, we’re proud to have a vibrant and welcoming and growing junior section. Open to boys and girls aged 6 to 17, our junior programme offers the perfect blend of fun, friendship, and fantastic golf.
Our dedicated junior team is passionate about helping every young golfer develop their skills in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment. All our organisers and coaches are DBS-checked and have completed comprehensive safeguarding training, ensuring that every junior feels confident and cared for on and off the course.
Competitions & Handicaps
Throughout the year, our juniors take part in an exciting calendar of competitions for all abilities, leading up to the highlight of the season — the annual Junior Championships.

From relaxed, fun competitions that are perfect for beginners, to county-level events for developing players, there’s something for everyone. New golfers can enjoy tournaments such as the Peewee Tour and Rabbits — great introductions to competition golf without any pressure.
As players progress, they’re supported in gaining their official CONGU handicap, opening the door to a wide range of county and inter-club events run by the Shropshire & Hereford Union of Golf Clubs.
Coaching & Development
Our juniors benefit from top-quality coaching led by our professional PGA coaching team.
Weekly evening sessions run from April to September, focusing on skill development, course etiquette, and confidence-building.
During the winter months, we offer monthly weekend coaching, ensuring progress continues all year round.
These sessions are also a wonderful way for families to connect, make new friends, and enjoy the welcoming community that makes Shifnal Golf Club so special.
